Escape RoomRiddle #1413
The lid of a puzzle box reads: ON + ON + ON + ON = GO. Each letter is a different digit, and no number starts with 0. The two-digit lock wants GO. What is it?
Hint: Four times ON has to end in the digit O. Try values of O from 1 to 9.
Answer
92
4 x ON must be under 100, so O is 1 or 2. The last digit of 4 x N must be O, which is impossible for odd O, so O = 2. Then 4 x 2N = G2: 4 x 23 = 92 works (N = 3, G = 9); 4 x 28 = 112 is too big. So GO = 92.
Did you get it?
Nice work. On to the next one.
Got you this time. Try the next one.
