LateralRiddle #1401
Ivy filled a glass with cold tap water at bedtime. By morning the inside of the glass was covered in tiny bubbles, though nobody touched it and it was never soda. Where did the bubbles come from?
Hint: Something was hiding in the water all along.
Answer
Air dissolved in the cold water came out as it warmed
Cold water holds more dissolved air than warm water, so as it warmed to room temperature, the air formed bubbles.
