The Museum Scarab Caper
At the Maple City Museum, a golden scarab pin went missing from a display case in the Egypt room on the third floor. It was taken between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, and the case had been opened with a key. A repair crew had the museum's only elevator taken apart from opening to closing that Saturday and didn't finish until Sunday morning. Three staff members with display keys were working that afternoon.
